Our History

2000

• Founding of the company ‘HERA’ finance, specialising in monetary and bond products.

2003

• Creation of the fund Performance Avenir by Jean-François DESCAVES marks a change of orientation towards the management of equities.

2004

• Creation of the fund Performance Environnement in August 2004, the first fund in France exclusively dedicated to the protection of the environment.

2005

• HERA Finance becomes Financière de Champlain.

• Jean-François DESCAVES is named President and Head of Asset Management.

• Creation of the fund Performance Vitae August 2005.

• The fund Performance Environnement is awarded the ‘Palme de La Vie Financière’ for ‘Best Fund’ in the category ‘European Equities’.

2006

• Management team strengthened through the recruitment of two new fund managers

• Creation of the fund Champlain Opportunité in January 2006

• The fund Performance Environment qualifies for ‘Best Global Ecological Fund’ from the Bloomberg group’s ‘Markets’ magazine

• Creation of the funds Performance Environnement International, Champlain Sérénité and Champlain Découvertes in November 2006

• Creation of the fund Performance Responsable in December 2006

2007

• August: 3 years of Performance Environnement.

2008

• February : The fund Performance Environnement was awarded the lipper fund award and the Palme de La Vie Financière in the category “European Equities” over 3 years.
